Rockies and Central US short-range Snow forecast

Here it is, we’re at the end of the forecasting season as far as snow goes, and all I can say is… it was a doozy. We saw basically the third smallest snow cover winter in US history and overall the 4th warmest winter on record.

Not everyone may have noticed though, especially since a new record was set in Denver for snow storms.

Although temperatures were near normal this year for our region, we just didn’t see the moisture needed to pump up the snow makers. Ironically.. the plains seemed to have gotten plenty of rain through the winter.

The images above are just for February, but give a general idea of what the winter was like.

Anyways, if you’re planning on trying to get some late season skiing and boarding in, we’re still here to help you out. Check the automated 72 hour forecasts, and recent snow fall numbers for the most up to date information on top resorts through the country.
