The Father’s Day Surf Forecast is calling for a few rideable waves but most spots will be on the soft side with a chance for some texture from building winds.

Sunday’s forecast is showing some soft rideable waves, but nothing all that special. We will be working a mix of mostly fading NW windswell and background S energy, and a few of the weather models think that onshore texture may pick up early.

The eddy starts to weaken a bit on Friday and continues to slow down as we head into the weekend, unfortunately that means our windswell drops off leaving us with weaker NW energy and inconsistent SW swell.

Friday’s forecast shows decreasing swell through the weekend but improving conditions.  Long-range shows promise from the SH, but NH is looking pretty weak.

The mix of windswell peaks on Friday before backing off over the weekend. We’re looking at a little out of season offshore event Sat and Sun, which even if it doesn’t happen could mean some fun conditions either way. Next week starts off with mostly NW windswell and some trace bits of Southern Hemi swell, but the long-range models are toying with the idea of some new SW (210-220) for around the end of next week, which gives all you summer lovin surfers some hope. Plenty of small combo pulses in the forecast, with possibly a couple more solid swells on the way before the end of the month

The moderate surf train continues through the weekend for most areas, but Hurricane Carlotta could deliver a bit of extra energy to Mainland Mex and the Northern CenAm countries. The Southern Hemisphere has been busy though, trying to materialize something we can work with… and it seems pretty successful right now, with several new pulses in the water, and a couple more to come soon.
